At New Icon, we pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace where everyone can thrive. This year, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of the New Icon Women’s Network—a dedicated space for incredible women to connect, share experiences, and support one another both personally and professionally.

Why We Created This Group

Over Christmas, I found myself reflecting on the amazing group of women we have at New Icon. It struck me how valuable it would be to have a space just for us—a network where we can come together to celebrate successes, tackle challenges, and share knowledge in a supportive and safe environment.

We recognise that while New Icon is leading the way compared to the industry standard—with women making up nearly 40% of our workforce, which is significantly above the average in the software development sector—there is still more we can do. We want to ensure we’re not just attracting talented women to work in tech but also creating an environment where they can truly thrive.

What the New Icon Women’s Network is All About

This group is designed as a platform to advocate for equality, support one another, and create meaningful dialogue around the unique challenges and opportunities women face in the workplace. Together, we’ll focus on:

Your Voice Matters

This network is a collaborative effort, and we want everyone to have a say in shaping its direction. If you have ideas for topics, events, or ways to make this group more impactful, we’d love to hear them.

At New Icon, we’re committed to continuing to make strides toward greater diversity and inclusion. We hope the Women’s Network will play a key role in not only supporting the amazing women we already have but also in attracting more talented women to the software development industry.

Here’s to building a stronger, more inclusive future—together.
