We’re excited to welcome Norbert Zietek as our new Senior UX Designer at New Icon! With a background in UX and a passion for problem-solving, Norbert brings experience from cybersecurity and media, and he’s eager to dive into AI and IoT projects while making an impact in his first agency role.
This month we'd like to welcome Norbert Zietek, who's joined as Senior UX Designer. Here are Norbert’s answers to the famous New Icon "new starter" questions...
I started with a background in Graphic Communications at university, where I discovered a love for problem-solving and psychology. I combined these two interests which led me to my secret sauce! (User Experience Design). I’ve been doing this for five years now, and I love it! I previously worked for a cybersecurity and television company before joining New Icon, where I led several experiences for various clients like EurovisionSport.
Imagine trying to find your way through a confusing maze with many twists and dead ends. My job is to make it easier for you to get where you want to go. I add clear signs and make sure you don’t get lost.
I'm excited to start working at an agency, which is totally new to me. I’m looking forward to taking on new AI and IOT projects, and I hope my experience will be valuable in making an impact.
I know this is a hot topic, but I’m confident AI will keep evolving and improving. There are already tools that can create good-looking UI screens, but they still can’t tackle the complex challenges of solving clients specific needs.
You’re in luck! I’m quite a hobby connoisseur, to list a few… I do watchmaking (yes, repairing old vintage watches to their working glory), jewellery making, film and digital photography, and dabble in bread making.
Hmm… this is a tough question, I would definitely recommend everyone to watch a new animated film called “Wild Robot”, which will make you weep in the cinema like a child.
I’ve recently been enjoying listening to “You’re dead to me” which is a history and comedy podcast.
I listen to a variety of music, my go-to car song is definitely “Kiss from a Rose” by Seal.
