FACT: The best teams thrive on honest, actionable feedback.
PROBLEM: Most people avoid it—because let’s be honest, nobody likes hearing where they can improve.
SOLUTION: Netflix figured it out. Their “No Rules Rules” approach shows that a strong team > individual egos.
At New Icon, we know that communication is an art—and sometimes, our masterpiece gets interpreted in ways we never intended! Our recent DiSC workshop was a brilliant reminder that everyone has different communication and working styles. What we mean to say and how it’s perceived can sometimes be worlds apart.
To take things up a notch, we’ve been inspired by Netflix’s ‘No Rules Rules’ approach to peer feedback—a culture where strong teams matter more than individual egos.
The takeaway? Regular, constructive, and actionable feedback fuels high performance and creates a collaborative, energising workplace.
Why This Works:
No awkward forced reviews
Honest insights, minus the fluff
Turns feedback into a tool for winning, not a weapon for criticism
Our 3 Super Simple Steps to Better Feedback
Because feedback shouldn’t be a daunting, once-a-year ordeal, we’ve made it easy, light, and super effective with this simple process:
Pick Your People – Throughout the year, everyone (yes, everyone!) nominates five peers they’d love to get feedback from. No hierarchy here—just honest, growth-focused insights!
Share & Reflect – We’ve put together a handy feedback template that makes giving and receiving feedback a breeze. Your nominated peers fill it out, and you get a well-rounded view of how you’re doing.
Coffee & SMART Goals ☕ – Once you’ve gathered your insights, take some time to summarise the responses and pop out for a coffee (or tea, if that’s your thing). Together, craft some SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) to keep your growth on track!
Want to give it a go? Drop us your email address here and we'll happily share the templates and framework we use internally!
Let’s make feedback fun, fearless, and ridiculously valuable! 😃
